Day 1: Arrival & First Balloon Ride
We’ll grab you from your lodge near Arusha at the crack of dawn—think 5 AM, but the views are worth the yawn. After a quick coffee and some fresh pastries, we’re off to a hot air balloon launch site in the Serengeti. You’ll float over the savanna as the sun rises, watching elephants and giraffes wake up below. The Great Migration’s in full swing, so expect to see thousands of wildebeest on the move. The ride’s about an hour, maybe more if the winds are chill.
After landing, we’ll pop some sparkling juice to celebrate and dig into a bush breakfast—eggs, bacon, and fruit under an acacia tree. Then, we’ll head to your luxury tented camp, where you’ll get a virtual reality preview of your upcoming flights. It’s like a safari trailer, but you’re the star. Afternoon’s for settling in—your tent’s got a real bed, hot showers, and a deck with savanna views. Dinner’s a feast: grilled meats, veggie curry, and a dessert that’ll have you licking the plate.
Day 2: Private Plane Safari & Photo Intro
Day two’s all about the skies. After a breakfast of pancakes and local coffee, you’ll hop into a private plane for a 90-minute flight over the Serengeti. You’ll see rivers packed with hippos, lion prides lounging, and those endless herds of the Migration. The pilot’ll swoop low (safely, don’t worry) for the best views. It’s like National Geographic in real life.
Back on the ground, we’ll have lunch at camp—think fresh salads, grilled chicken, and mango sorbet. Then, it’s time for a photography workshop. Our pro guide’ll teach you how to capture wildlife shots, from zooming in on a cheetah’s eyes to framing a herd against the sunset. No fancy camera? Your phone’ll do just fine. Afternoon’s free—laze by the camp’s fire pit or watch antelopes from your deck. Dinner’s another banger: roasted lamb (or veggie stew), local veggies, and a chocolate tart under the stars.
Day 3: Balloon Ride & Game Drive
Another early start for a second hot air balloon ride, this time over a different part of the Serengeti. You’ll glide over the Seronera Valley, spotting leopards in trees and maybe even a rhino if you’re lucky. The morning light makes the grasslands glow gold—it’s unreal. After landing, we’ll have a bush breakfast with sausages, fresh bread, and more coffee.
Mid-morning, we’ll switch things up with a short game drive in a 4x4. Your guide’ll track down the Migration’s hotspots, so you can see the action up close (safely, of course). Lunch is a picnic in the bush—sandwiches, fruit, and cold drinks. Afternoon’s back at camp for more photography tips, focusing on action shots like galloping zebras. Dinner’s a proper safari vibe: BBQ ribs (or grilled veggies), maize porridge, and a campfire with stories from your guide.
Day 4: Plane Flight & Cultural Visit
Day four’s another sky-high adventure. After breakfast (more pastries and smoothies), you’ll take a second private plane flight, this time circling the Ngorongoro Crater’s edge for a peek at its wildlife-packed floor. The 2-hour flight gives you views of flamingos in soda lakes and maybe even a black-maned lion. Back at camp, lunch is a spread of local fish, rice, and tropical fruit.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit a nearby Maasai village. You’ll meet locals, learn about their traditions, and maybe try a traditional dance (no pressure!). It’s a chill way to connect with the Serengeti’s human side. Evening’s back at camp with a photography review—your guide’ll help you pick your best shots. Dinner’s a stunner: steak or veggie skewers, roasted sweet potatoes, and a creamy dessert with a view of the Milky Way.
Day 5: Final Balloon & Farewell
Last day’s short but sweet. One more hot air balloon ride, this time over the southern Serengeti, where you’ll see the Migration’s stragglers and maybe some hyenas on the prowl. It’s about 45 minutes, but the sunrise colors are next-level. After landing, we’ll have brunch in the bush—pancakes, eggs, and fresh juice—while you watch a virtual reality recap of your flights. It’s like reliving the safari in HD.
We’ll drop you back at your Arusha lodge by noon, giving you time to shop for beaded souvenirs or just soak in the memories. You’ll leave with a camera full of epic shots and a heart full of the Serengeti’s wild spirit.
